Lina Zhao, profesora de la City University of Hong Kong y organizadora del evento, me escribi\u00f3 a comienzos de este a\u00f1o para invitarme formalmente a dictar una charla. Acept\u00e9 encantado. La conoc\u00ed brevemente en una conferencia en Vancouver en 2024 y, aunque s\u00f3lo intercambiamos algunas palabras, tenemos muchos intereses cient\u00edficos en com\u00fan. Probablemente eso influy\u00f3 en su invitaci\u00f3n\u201d, explic\u00f3 el tambi\u00e9n investigador del Centro de Modelamiento Matem\u00e1tico, CMM, de la U. de Chile y del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ingenier\u00eda Matem\u00e1tica, CI\u00b2MA, de la U. de Concepci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEn mi charla, present\u00e9 un nuevo m\u00e9todo de elementos finitos conservativo para problemas de mec\u00e1nica de fluidos, el cual puede ser aplicado posteriormente en modelos m\u00e1s complejos, como los que abordamos en el equipo del proyecto DSALT\u201d, explic\u00f3 el investigador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLa recepci\u00f3n fue muy positiva; recib\u00ed varios comentarios y preguntas, lo que refleja el inter\u00e9s que despert\u00f3 el trabajo presentado\u201d, detall\u00f3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEs un verdadero honor haber sido invitado desde tan lejos a exponer en un evento de tan alto nivel, con la presencia de investigadores de renombre internacional en an\u00e1lisis num\u00e9rico, muchos de los cuales son autores de art\u00edculos y libros que cito frecuentemente en mi trabajo\u201d, agreg\u00f3 Oyarz\u00faa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
