{"id":276,"date":"2024-08-19T17:34:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-19T20:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dsalt.ciencias.ubiobio.cl\/?p=276"},"modified":"2025-06-05T17:37:50","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T20:37:50","slug":"comca-2024-integrantes-de-anillo-dsalt-participaron-en-relevante-encuentro-del-area","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dsalt.ciencias.ubiobio.cl\/index.php\/2024\/08\/19\/comca-2024-integrantes-de-anillo-dsalt-participaron-en-relevante-encuentro-del-area\/","title":{"rendered":"COMCA 2024: Integrantes de Anillo DSALT participaron en relevante encuentro del \u00e1rea"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Durante tres jornadas, se realiz\u00f3 en la U. de Tarapac\u00e1 la trig\u00e9sima segunda versi\u00f3n del tradicional congreso<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde el mi\u00e9rcoles 31 de julio hasta el viernes 02 de agosto, se realiz\u00f3 el&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/comca2024.uta.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">XXXII Congreso de Matem\u00e1tica Capricornio, COMCA 2024<\/a>, en la Universidad de Tarapac\u00e1. Este tradicional encuentro anual se realiza desde 1991 para impulsar el desarrollo de las diferentes \u00e1reas de la matem\u00e1tica y la estad\u00edstica en el norte de Chile, siendo sus instituciones anfitrionas las universidades de Tarapac\u00e1, Arturo Prat, Cat\u00f3lica del Norte, de Antofagasta, de Atacama y de La Serena.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En esta ocasi\u00f3n, tres investigadores del&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dsalt.ciencias.ubiobio.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Proyecto Anillo \u2018Matem\u00e1tica Computacional para Problemas de Desalinizaci\u00f3n\u2019, DSALT, (ACT 210087)<\/a>&nbsp;tuvieron diversas participaciones. Se trata de la&nbsp;<strong>Dra. Ver\u00f3nica Anaya Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Dr. David Mora Herrera&nbsp;<\/strong>y&nbsp;<strong>Dr. Pablo Venegas Tapia<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n acad\u00e9micos del Departamento de Matem\u00e1tica de la Facultad de Ciencias de la U. del Biob\u00edo e investigadores del Centro de Modelamiento Matem\u00e1tico (CMM) de la U. de Chile.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Dra. Anaya particip\u00f3, gracias a financiamiento del Anillo DSALT, como coorganizadora de la sesi\u00f3n de An\u00e1lisis Num\u00e9rico de Ecuaciones Diferenciales Parciales, adem\u00e1s, presentando la charla \u2018<em>Mixed Finite Element Method for the Brinkman- Forchheimer equations<\/em>\u2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDe las catorce sesiones invitadas del congreso, la nuestra fue la m\u00e1s numerosa, ya que participamos 14 expositores. Fue una excelente instancia para presentar nuestras investigaciones y conocer actividades desarrolladas por profesores y estudiantes de otras universidades\u201d, afirm\u00f3 la tambi\u00e9n directora alterna de DSALT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En tanto, el Dr. Venegas present\u00f3 la charla \u2018<em>Mathematical and numerical analysis of an axisymmetric thermoelectrical problem<\/em>\u2019 que, detalla, es producto de su colaboraci\u00f3n con su colega \u201cBibiana L\u00f3pez Rodr\u00edguez de la U. Nacional de Colombia, Dolores G\u00f3mez y Pilar Salgado de la U. de Santiago de Compostela, Espa\u00f1a. En particular, Bibiana realiz\u00f3 una estad\u00eda de un mes en 2023 y 2024 financiada por el proyecto Basal del CMM, en la que avanzamos en \u00e9ste y otros trabajos\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Su participaci\u00f3n en COMCA 2024 \u201cfue financiada por el proyecto Anillo DSALT y el proyecto Fondecyt 1211030\u201d, detall\u00f3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por su parte, el Dr. Mora particip\u00f3 como expositor en la sesi\u00f3n coorganizada por la Prof. Anaya presentando&nbsp;<em>\u2018A stream virtual element discretization for the Navier-Stokes equations\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;que, explica \u201csurgi\u00f3 como continuaci\u00f3n del trabajo de tesis de Alberth Silgado, y en el marco de los proyectos DSALT y Basal del CMM.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tambi\u00e9n gracias a financiamiento del Proyecto Anillo DSALT (ACT-210087), adem\u00e1s de los investigadores mencionados, participaron en el encuentro tres estudiantes del Doctorado en Matem\u00e1tica Aplicada de la UBB: Yuliza Capu\u00f1ay Siesqu\u00e9n, Miguel Ser\u00f3n Almonacid y Rub\u00e9n Caraballo D\u00edaz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este sentido y desde un punto de vista institucional, el Dr. Mora destac\u00f3 \u201cla participaci\u00f3n de estudiantes de programas de postgrado de nuestra universidad (uno de Mag\u00edster en Matem\u00e1tica Aplicada y tres de Doctorado en Matem\u00e1tica Aplicada), quienes presentaron sus trabajos (terminados y avances) desarrollados en sus tesis, y de cinco profesores del grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n GIMNAP-UBB\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLos trabajos presentados por colegas de las universidades PUC, PUCV, UTFSM en la sesi\u00f3n permiten visualizar algunas colaboraciones en temas relacionados a problemas de fluidos y en particular, a fen\u00f3menos de desalinizaci\u00f3n\u201d,
