Matem\u00e1tica Computacional para Problemas de Desalinizaci\u00f3n\u2019 (ACT-210087)<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;participaron en dos relevantes encuentros internacionales realizados en pa\u00edses asi\u00e1ticos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre el 20 y el 25 de agosto se realiz\u00f3,&nbsp;en Waseda&nbsp;University, (Jap\u00f3n) el encuentro&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/iciam2023.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>ICIAM 2023 TOKYO&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;10th International&nbsp;Congress&nbsp;on&nbsp;Industrial and&nbsp;Applied&nbsp;Mathematics<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;en cuya sesi\u00f3n titulada&nbsp;<em>\u2018Robust&nbsp;formulations&nbsp;for&nbsp;coupled&nbsp;multiphysics&nbsp;problems&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;Theory&nbsp;and&nbsp;applications\u2019<\/em>, expusieron&nbsp;tres integrantes de&nbsp;<strong>\u2018dsalt\u2019<\/strong>: Ricardo&nbsp;Oyarz\u00faa&nbsp;Vargas (director&nbsp;y acad\u00e9mico de la U. del B\u00edo-B\u00edo), Jessika Cama\u00f1o Valenzuela (investigadora&nbsp;y acad\u00e9mica de la UCSC)&nbsp;Jes\u00fas&nbsp;Velloj\u00edn&nbsp;Mattos&nbsp;(posdoctorante).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta sesi\u00f3n reuni\u00f3 a especialistas&nbsp;en la construcci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de nuevas t\u00e9cnicas de discretizaci\u00f3n para modelos&nbsp;multif\u00edsicos&nbsp;que mantengan la robustez con respecto a las constantes de inter\u00e9s del modelo, esto con&nbsp;\u00e9nfasis en el an\u00e1lisis riguroso de la estabilidad, y otro t\u00f3pico que se abord\u00f3 fue la&nbsp;aplicaci\u00f3n de estas nuevas metodolog\u00edas en la soluci\u00f3n de modelos acoplados que surgen en&nbsp;mecanobiolog\u00eda&nbsp;y sistemas&nbsp;multif\u00edsicos&nbsp;similares, tales como la&nbsp;din\u00e1mica del tejido cerebral, electromec\u00e1nica card\u00edaca y modelado del sistema respiratorio,&nbsp;adem\u00e1s de&nbsp;flujos geof\u00edsicos u otros tipos de problemas&nbsp;multif\u00edsicos&nbsp;de interacci\u00f3n fluido-estructura.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEl&nbsp;encuentro&nbsp;ICIAM es uno de&nbsp;los&nbsp;eventos&nbsp;m\u00e1s&nbsp;importantes&nbsp;de la&nbsp;matem\u00e1tica&nbsp;aplicada&nbsp;en&nbsp;el&nbsp;mundo, y para&nbsp;nosotros&nbsp;como&nbsp;equipo,&nbsp;era&nbsp;muy&nbsp;importante&nbsp;ser&nbsp;parte&nbsp;de&nbsp;esta&nbsp;conferencia\u201d,&nbsp;explic\u00f3 el Dr.&nbsp;Oyarz\u00faa, tambi\u00e9n investigador asociado del Centro de Modelamiento Matem\u00e1tico (CMM) de la U. de Chile y del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ingenier\u00eda Matem\u00e1tica (CI\u00b2MA) de la U. de Concepci\u00f3n.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEn particular\u201d, agreg\u00f3, \u201cen la sesi\u00f3n en la que el equipo particip\u00f3, tuvimos la posibilidad de mostrar los \u00faltimos avances de nuestro proyecto, fruto de la colaboraci\u00f3n de los investigadores y estudiantes de las tres universidades asociadas (UBB,&nbsp;UdeC&nbsp;y UCSC)\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antes,&nbsp;los&nbsp;mismos&nbsp;integrantes de&nbsp;<strong>\u2018dsalt\u2019<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de Ver\u00f3nica Anaya Dom\u00ednguez (directora alterna y acad\u00e9mica UBB),&nbsp;David Mora Herrera&nbsp;(investigador y acad\u00e9mico UBB) y Alberth Silgado&nbsp;Ballesta dictaron charlas en la sesi\u00f3n &#8216;N<em>umerical&nbsp;Methods&nbsp;for&nbsp;Problems&nbsp;in Continuum&nbsp;Mechanics&nbsp;and&nbsp;Related&nbsp;Applications<\/em>&#8216;, organizada por David Mora junto a su colega Ricardo Ruiz-Baier&nbsp;de Monash&nbsp;University&nbsp;(Australia), en el encuentro&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/icosahom2023.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><em>ICOSAHOM 2023 &#8211;&nbsp;International&nbsp;Conference&nbsp;on&nbsp;Spectral&nbsp;and High&nbsp;Order&nbsp;Methods<\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;<\/em>que se realiz\u00f3 del 14 al 18 de agosto&nbsp;en&nbsp;Yonsei&nbsp;University&nbsp;(Seoul,&nbsp;Korea).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNuestra&nbsp;participaci\u00f3n en este importante evento&nbsp;fue&nbsp;una experiencia&nbsp;muy enriquecedora&nbsp;tanto en el \u00e1mbito acad\u00e9mico&nbsp;cient\u00edfico&nbsp;como cultural, fue posible interactuar con acad\u00e9micos, investigadores y estudiantes de distintas universidades y centros de investigaci\u00f3n&nbsp;reconocidos,&nbsp;pudimos&nbsp;conocer&nbsp;sobre sus&nbsp;recientes&nbsp;investigaciones relacionadas&nbsp;con&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Polygonal&nbsp;finite&nbsp;elements,&nbsp;High&nbsp;order&nbsp;methods,&nbsp;<\/em>entre otros. De igual manera, pudimos presentar nuestros temas de investigaci\u00f3n\u201d,&nbsp;detall\u00f3 la Dra.
